AgriBioSource operates in various European countries. Each country has its own statutory rules relating to waste materials and bio-digestion. In the Netherlands, the Dutch fertiliser legislation specifically applies to bio-digestion with the basic stipulation that the digestate produced by manure digestion may be used as fertiliser.

Assuring environmental quality has the highest priority at AgriBioSource. In this case environmental quality pertains to the fact that application of the digestate is permitted within the limits applicable to loading the soil with heavy metals and micro-contaminants (polycyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons) as set out in the fertiliser legislation.
