Biogas, biomethane and other renewable gases are crucial components of a carbon-neutral European economy. The Italian Biogas Consortium promotes the recognition of biogas and biomethane as sustainable and flexible energy sources with various benefits. These green gases contribute to the growth of a circular bio-economy.

The Italian Biogas Consortium promotes harmonizing economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection by support companies in the transition to the circular economy, promoting scientific research, stimulating technological innovation and providing dedicated services. The CIB aims to work with national institutions, industries, agricultural partners, NGOs and academia to promote regulations that enable the large-scale deployment of renewable gases and organic fertilizers across the country.
