Carrot Flakes originates from carrots from the food industry. It’s a co-product released during the processing of food grade carrots. The carrots are washed or steam peeled and cut. The off-sized shapes or top and bottom pieces are separated and collected. Then sliced, blanched, air dried and sieved.
Sustainability savings on carbon footprint, water footprint and land use compared with conventional alternatives. Environmental impact calculated through a LCA/EPD from “cradle-to-gate”. LCA one-pager available on request.
