EU sustainable food system
The sidestream potato starch is refined into native starch for food, pet food and industrial applications. Sidestream potato starch has a 60% lower carbon footprint than potato starch which is processed in a traditional way from the whole potato.
By valorizing sidestream potato starch of the potato industry, potatoes are optimally used. In this way Duynie contributes to a circular agrifood system which is in line with the EU Farm to Fork strategy.
